Contract: Permanent
Salary: £24,733.80 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (typically Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required due to shop operations 7 days a week)
About the Role
Are you a reliable and dedicated driver with a passion for making a difference? DEBRA, a national charity supporting individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), is looking for a Van Driver to join our logistics team in Ashford.
As a Van Driver, you’ll play a key role in the collection, delivery, and distribution of donated goods, helping to support our shops and fundraising efforts. You’ll be the face of DEBRA on the road, ensuring items are transported safely and professionally.
Requirements:
- Must be 25 years or older
- Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence for at least 12 months
- Must have at least 1 year of van driving experience
Note: Applicants under 25 or with less than 1 year of experience may still apply, but an additional insurance fee may apply.

- Commitment to health & safety, including compliance with LOLER and Manual Handling Regulations
- Ability to maintain accurate records and care for the DEBRA vehicle
Key Responsibilities
- Represent DEBRA professionally at all times
- Collect, deliver, and distribute goods efficiently
- Load and unload the van safely, maximising space and adhering to weight limits
- Maintain the van’s cleanliness and report any faults
- Ensure vehicle servicing and inspections are up to date
- Follow all UK road safety and driving laws
